Telesis Protocol .NET API Released
- Details
The Telesis Extended Protocol application programming interface (API) is now available for download from the API products section. The download contains the complete API that can be installed and run in a fully functional timed demonstration mode.
Implementing the Telesis Extended Protocol over a serial link such as RS232 or over an Ethernet TCP connection, the API is provided as a .NET 2.0 framework assembly. It can be used in any of the .NET languages such as VB and C#.
Using this API developers can easily build supervisory control applications to select engraving programming files, set program files variable values, set global variable values, issue Run commands and much more without needing to understand the details of the protocol. Works with the Telesis Merlin II, TMC470 and other equipment supporting the Extended Protocol.
The download contains the complete API that can be installed and run in a fully functional timed demonstration mode. The download includes several example applications to get developers quickly up to speed.
SIC Marking .NET API Released
- Details
A new application programming interface (API) has been released to facilitate the development of Microsoft .NET applications that interface with SIC Marking E8 controllers. The API implements the SIC Marking serial binary protocol over RS2332, is provided as a .NET 2.0 framework assembly and can be used in any of the .NET languages such as VB and C#.
Using this API developers can easily build supervisory control applications to select engraving programming files, set program files variable values, set global variable values, issue Run commands and much more without needing to understand the details of the binary protocol. The binary protocol is implemented to use a checksum on all transmitted commands to ensure data integrity.
The API can be downloaded from the API products section. The download contains the complete API that can be installed and run in a fully functional timed demonstration mode. The download includes several example applications to get developers quickly up to speed.
New .NET APIs Released
- Details
A new set of our most popular APIs have been written to completely support .NET and .NET Compact Framework. This means that you can now program in the .NET language of your choice and easily use our professionally written interfaces to communicate with and/or emulate industrial hardware. Using the same familiar concepts as our existing APIs, you'll be able to get applications up and running quickly on any .NET Win32 computer or targeted WinCE device supporting the .NET framework. The complete list can be found on the Communication API page (Communication API).
